Mr. Nielsen received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Concordia University in 1989 and his Juris Doctor degree from Valparaiso University School of Law in 1992.  After graduating from law school, Mr. Nielsen joined a large Chicago law firm and specialized in litigation with an emphasis on commercial and residential property subrogation cases.  In 1997, he co-founded the Firm and has acted as its Managing Partner.  Mr. Nielsen is admitted to practice law in Illinois and has been admitted to practice pro hac vice throughout the United States. 

Mr. Nielsen has represented numerous large and small insurance companies, self-insured companies, third-party administrators and individuals in matters ranging from contract disputes to major multi-party litigation losses.  Mr. Nielsen has particular expertise in the areas of fire causation, fire spread, product design and manufacturing defects, construction defects and cargo transportation losses.

Mr. Nielsen resides in a western suburb of Chicago with his wife and three children.
